Want to meet our animal gang? We have a lot of furry friends living at Two Bears Farm.
Francie, a rescued 3 year old mare that I brought home starved and sick on Thanksgiving of 2013, and have since been habituating her to people and training her to be ridden!
Baxter, a 7 year old affectionate black and white cat we adopted from Barn Cat Buddies.
Willie, another cat we adopted from Barn Cat Buddies, who is very playful and loves to catch mice, bats, and moles.
This is Owen Meany, our farm dog/ Australian cattle dog/ blue heeler. He likes to "help" in the garden.
Hey, Lisa. You need at least one more horse so that a friend can go riding with you. ;-)

ReplyDeleteI love all the stories of your amimals. Very fun to read!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog today over at J4Daniels where you guest blogged. I made it to the end of the list, and YES I do love animals! You're living my dream and looks like you're having a great time of it. What a blessing. And a great blog too.
ReplyDeleteYou're so funny! I found your blog somehow through RDC. Yes, I made it to the end because I love animals. But living in a small house we can only accommodate a few. I'll just live vicariously through you, I've always wanted chickens and horses, maybe a cow too. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful story with Phoenix! I bet you two have a wonderful bond!
ReplyDeleteUm, well, yes, this is all good. But where are the Bears?
ReplyDeleteYou say Grompet hates everyone, yet for some reason whenever Taylor and I are over she emerges and perches on our laps...I guess we have a special bond? :)
ReplyDeleteI love these animals my friend, I just miss my life at the province before... and I miss our horse, jiji!
ReplyDeleteLoving all the animals :) We live near the Blue Ridge mountains of NC, no horses but we have a cat and chickens. We will be getting a new beta soon since our Archimedes died last year.
ReplyDeleteNice blog!

You have a remarkable bunch of pets.
ReplyDeleteOk, you got me with the animals. We also live on a farm in rural VA. We have two horses, Mike & Ruby, 32 chickens + (more hatching in the incubator as I post), a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab dog named Biscuit and a bearded dragon. We're always looking for the next pet...a guinea pig, bunnies, fish???
ReplyDeleteOh Lisa I am so happy I clicked on this. You have an amazing heart and amazing family and amazing animals. Hug B
