Well, it was time. And Paul held true to his word and didn't make me participate in any of the butchery. Other than isolating the 'lucky four' from the others at noon on Friday, so that they wouldn't have access to food - just water. Kind of like before surgery. Only this was before getting carved up. It made me sad anyhow, hearing the Executioner's Song.
So last night there was a little of this:
And some salt and pepper. Some celery and carrots and onions. And a few potatoes and mushrooms.
And then.
About an hour later.
Things started to smell very nice.
And another 30 minutes there was this:
And Paul said, "How does it taste?"
And I said, "It tastes like chicken"

I would have needed a of the wine beforehand, but the final product sure looked yummy!!

Mmmmm, Riesling is my favorite. I would have been a little sad about the chickens too.
