Blue Bird House and Bird Feeder - CSN GIVEAWAY!!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED!

CSN Stores recently contacted me about doing another giveaway, and I just love the variety they carry, particularly the amazing selection of backyard swing sets they offer. I also love their fitness gear and kitchen supplies.  And of course this time of year you can find all sorts of wonders for garden decor.

If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that earth and nature are so important to me and my family. With Spring coming, we're so excited to welcome back some green to our land and some leaves to our trees. Recently I noticed that the blue birds in the cedar blue bird house (a gift from my father) are back in action. I can't tell you how much it warmed my heart.

This inspired me to pick two items to attract your local birds closer to your home, the perfect fodder for some great spring bird watching and photo opps!  First, the lucky winner will receive a Brome Squirrel Buster Mini feeder.  Keep those pesky squirrels off your bird food:

And second, the winner will receive this beautiful Audubon blue bird house in cedar.  Very similar to the one that we have and love here at Two Bears Farm.

So how do you enter?  You must be a resident of the United States or Canada.  You must comment on this post by letting me know what your favorite bird is (please include your email if it is not attached to your profile).  That's it!  While I'd just love it if you tweeted my giveaway, or became a follower, or even blogged about this post or shared it on facebook, these things are not a requirement for entry.

This giveaway ends at 12:00 noon on Friday, March 11th, 2011.  I will pick a winner by Random.org and notify him/her by email.  If a response is not received within 24 hours a new winner will be chosen.
Thanks and good luck!

  1. Well, this giveaway is right up my alley. Favorite bird? I'd have to say Baltimore Oriole. Haven't seen any as yet, but we have a pair that return every year.

    Thank you Lisa! :)

  4. I haven't been an avid bird watcher, so I don't know a lot of names. But we had a flock of Robins one year and I thought they were beautiful! :) I'll tweet for fun. :) (haha... Didn't notice the pun)

  9. I have no idea what my fave bird is called. They are small and yellow, like a bird someone would have at home as a pet, but I see them flying around my parents neighborhood in spring and summer. They just look so neat!

  10. Wrens, they are so small and puffy. Blue Jays too, Grandad used to tell this story about when Granny Anne was attacked by one while hanging clothes.

  13. Oh, be still my bird-loving heart!!!! This giveaway has (hopefully) my name all over it!!! :) I adore all birds but I truly love our black-bellied whistling ducks. They came in 2 days ago, and I heard their whistle and my heart did a gleeful dance! :)

  16. What a sweet giveaway Lisa! I love all the birds so that is very hard for me to pick just one as my favorite! I love seeing a woodpecker at my feeder because they are somewhat a rare sight to see. I've even seen a woodcock or 2 around my house, they are bug eaters. Golden finches and the Cardinals. I could go on and on!

    Thanks,
    Angela

  17. Well, when I lived in the southwest, I loved seeing the quail and roadrunners that frequented my neighborhood/backyard.

Now that I'm in the midwest, I love seeing all the bright red cardinals that dwell around my parents' house, enjoying their birdfeeder.

And of course I love the delicate beauty of hummingbirds, and majestic bald eagles.

  25. Geez Lisa, you want me to pick just one favourite? Ok ok, how about just two? It's a toss up between hummingbirds and swallows - I love watching the hummingbirds eat at the feeder, and I love watching the swallows swoop through the early evening sky.

  26. Since living in the South, I have become very partial to the Cardinal because there are so many here and they sure do look pretty - B U T, I also love the tenacious Mockingbird because they dive at nearby kitty-cats in order to steer them away from their nests - they are very brave and I guess they are my favorite because of that personality trade...but in reality I have many more favorites ;-) I can't decide!

  35. I think if I have to pick one bird, I would say a Cardinal is my favorite. Or mmm maybe a road runner are they considered a bird? We have those here as well. Cool give away!

  36. I guess my fave bird is the Goose, because that's what my parents called me when I was little (and, um, still do). I also love Peacocks, they're so beautiful, and I had peacock feathers at our wedding. But those birds won't fit in the little bird house will they? I toss seed and bread out for the little finchy-like birds in our yard, they are so cute to watch in the morning, I'd love to have the feeder and house for my little feather friends!

    Happy Monday :)

  37. This is a giveaway that should appeal to everyone. My new home has lots of trees and I just love watching the birds. My favorite, being an Arizona resident, is the roadrunner. I have one that frequents my backyard whenever my camera isn't close by (I swear he knows!). I like that they kill rattlers, but I don't like that they also kill baby quail. But they sure are a treat to see.

  48. Great giveaway. I love all birds and we have been postponing getting rid of two very large trees because they house and feed so many birds (and squirrels too), but soon it will get to the point where either the birds' house or our house will have to go.

  49. Hey, I love a contest too! I have many favorites, not one in particular. Owls, Ravens, Hawks, and little songbirds like the Redpolls, but the one that always makes me smile is the Chickadee.

  50. Awesome idea for a giveaway. Thanks for telling me about it. I don't know how I missed it. Even though I haven't posted anything lately, I have been reading - apparently not very well though lol. My favorite bird is the "Bubo virginianus", the great horned owl. I got to take a picture with one named Athena at our Renaissance Fair about 4 or 5 years ago. Such an awesome bird.
