Polarn O. Pyret Kid's Outerwear Review and Giveaway

One day prior to our first snowfall of the winter Pierce received a package from Polarn O. Pyret of kid's spring outerwear to review.  The snowbibs that we had for him we picked up at a yard sale, and they had certainly seen better days.  When I opened up the package and saw the beautiful high tech quality in the jacket and trousers we were sent I almost teared up - they are so much nicer than anything else he owns!

Seven inches of snow later, Pierce was thrilled to try on his new gear and take it out for a test run.  The jacket and pants are part of the lighter outergear line, perfect for marginal spring weather.  We used fleece layers underneath and Pierce was perfectly warm.  The Signature Stripe Shell jacket is wind and waterproof.  The bottom of the jacket is adjustable with an internal drawstring, and pre-bent sleeves offer increased mobility.  The cuffs are totally adjustable, and the hood is removable.  The snow was still coming down for some of these pictures, but Pierce stayed completely dry.

The Zip Trousers are also wind and waterproof, with pre-bent knees for mobility and adjustable waist and ankles (so important for my skinny little boy!).  There are elastic loops for under the feet and reflectors show 360 degree visibility.  Pierce did a little sledding.

Then he made snow angels, with no worries about laying straight back in the snow - he was fully protected from any wetness.

He ran up and down hills and all over our land with great joy, thrilled to be out and about in the first snow - the snow he's been dreaming of and longing of and waiting for so patiently.

We even took a bit of a hike down our old logging road, enjoying the sight of heavy snow on saggy tree branches.

Pierce stayed outside much longer than usual in his new gear, and he was thrilled to have the opportunity to review these clothes.  They are specifically designed for high winds and rain, so we look forward to trying them out in other types of weather too.  You can find Polarn O.
