Last week I taught Pierce about the meaning of the saying "the early bird catches the worm". And then he found it represented in his lunch box.
Pierce had some cheese crackers in a spider muffin cup, an apple banana crusher (my parents brought these back for the boys from a recent trip to Trader Joes - the boys love them!), an open faced cheese bird sandwich, a gummy worm, and some roasted seaweed. Yes, my boys (and I) enjoy the roasted seaweed as a snack. Shocking!

Love it! Have a great start to your week
A good way to start off the week!
Very cool! I love that you are giving your kids roasted seaweed! I put dulse flakes on the kids salads, and they don't notice it, but I haven't ever attempted larger pieces :-) I wish that we had a Trader Joes local to us...but we don't :-)
Yum! The worm looks delicious!
That is adorable!
Oh Lisa...three weeks ago I tried the seaweed. I not have to ask...HOW can you eat that stuff??????? ;)
I found the crushers at Wallmart.. Ben loves them.. He can't seem to get them opened when I put them in his lunch. So he always gets help.I love the open face cheese chicken sandwich. I love Muffin Tin MOndays..you are such a great mom..
ta ta for now from Iowa:)
Seaweed and worms what could be better than that:) B
How cute!! I love the chick wiht the worm.
I found roasted sea weed at wholefoods last year when we were in Las Vegas. I do eat seaweed in sushi (cooked shusi), but the flavoring on the seaweed I bought wasn't very good.
you're too cute. :)
So creative! You are surely a food artist.
Do you roast the seaweed yourself or do you buy it like that?
Fun, fun, fun. What a creative Mom you are. I don't have kids. But this makes me want to pack my cats a funny lunch like that. I suppose I would have to pack a real bird in the lunch box. I better hold off on that idea.
You have a creative way of making lunches enticing for your boys! Even seaweed!
The worm looks like one my Husband used to use for fishing. Very cute lunch!!
Haha! So cute! (And three cheers for roasted seaweed! Yum!)
What a fun lunch!
I love it! Can you believe I didn't see the worm at first?
You are so lucky your kidlets eat that good.
I love all the cute lunches you make for your boys! That seaweed is tasty!
That is just the cutest set-up!
Your boys are sooo lucky! ;)
Such a cute bird and worm!
Your muffin monday has such cute items. I love the cheese chicken...hahaha....happy Monday.
He'll remember that saying now whenever he eats red licorice. :)
That's so cute! I want to eat it.
Love the bird. It doesn't surprise me that you and the boys love roasted seaweed.
Roasted sounds good. I like the Rooster sandwich.
