On Mother's Day every year, I tend to request a family hike. It's become a tradition, and this year was no different.
While we were hiking this year, we ventured a bit off the trail to check out the Jack O'Lantern Branch creek. I look over and see Paul doing this:
At first, I thought maybe he was trying to spear a fish with his hiking pole. Isn't that just the sort of random thing a guy would do?
But no. He was fishing out a pair of pink sunglasses. Well. Isn't he just fabulous?
You wouldn't believe the fights the boys had over those pink sunglasses during the rest of the hike. Everybody wanted pink sunglasses! Readers, do you have any pink sunglasses in your life?

I don't have pink sunglasses in my life but now I think I need to!
Lisa, than you for your kind comments yesterday. Very much.
LOL How funny Lisa! I almost bought a pair of pink sunglasses this weekend.
I bet the boys will talk about how dad found those pink glasses for a long time.
No pink sunglasses here. :)
Love the glasses and the hike sounds like a great tradition.
This is so my dh! Everytime he goes for a bike ride or walk, he comes home with these random objects in his pockets. Sunglasses, tools, tie down straps. I just shake my head at him.
Nope... I have to have prescription sunglasses so only have one pair. So darned expensive, but wish I could also afford some pink ones.. and, by the way.... MAN, do your boys look exactly like their daddy!!
How cute! I use to have a huge sunglasses collection, one pair was a metallic pinkish purple! And a family hike sounds li a wonderful idea!
I used to, years ago.
LOL at everyone wanting their turn. :)
My Mom had the most fabulous pair of pink cat-eye sunglasses!
No pink sunglasses here. My brown ones are just fine, thanks.
Full marks to Paul for being so inquisitive and adventuresome.
Blessings and Bear hugs!

With six girls growing up in this house we have had our share of pink sunglasses.
Too funny! Isn't there a song lyric about pink sunglasses? Oh, never mind, that's Cheap Sunglasses by ZZ. Top. Anyway, hiking for Mother's Day sounds fun!
thanks for the laugh and smiles. needed that this morning!
No, no pink sunglasses here. But maybe I could use some! Your husband has some good eyes to pick them out of the creek. And a Mother's Day hike is a great tradition.
Haha! Let's see . . . Livie has had pink ones, and currently has some purple ones and some glittery ones.
Me? Just my prescription glasses with the Transition lenses that turn dark in sunlight.
A man confident enough to wear sunglasses is pretty darn cool.
Did I say pink sunglasses in that comment? Because I meant to! lol
The pink glass hero!!! Very cute. sandie
Where are they? Let's see them! And you cannot mention a creek with a name like that without telling us the story on it! Most men do not notice details like that, I think it must have been a fun challenge maybe.
That's too cute!
Nope, but Paul is stylin'. :)
xoxo
Oh my gosh, too cute! Nope, can't say that I have any pink sunglasses :) I'm more of the boring black or brown type!
Kids love the craziest things --especially when there's only ONE THING --and 3 boys!!!!!! (Been there--done that..)
No Pink Sunglasses in my life I don't think... SO--guess you (the boys) are the lucky ones!!!!
Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day hike.
Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. Your hubby is a KEEPER.
Let me guess...a gift for you, right?...:)JP...p.s. I should be getting my laptop back Thursday!!!!...:)
Ha! No, I don't. But after this, I think I may just look for a pair...but in a store..not a creek. :)
Oh I want a pair of pink sunglasses! Your hick must have been so much fun. I should try to remember that for Mother's Day next year.
Hahaha! That's funny. And everybody always wants what the other guy's got. :)
I don't have any pink sunglasses.
What a guy!
I've always been a tortoiseshell gal myself...
