My cats are traitors. They were so happy to snuggle with me all winter when there was 20 inches of snow on the ground. But now that it's warm outside? I've been abandoned for the lure of mouse and mole hunting.
This is the look I get when I try to call one of them inside to read a book with me. Can you see the tail, all twitchy with irritation?
Yeah, we'll see who comes crawling back next October when the nights get cold.
LOL! Yet do you see the gleam in the eyes....saying, Mommy I'll be back because I love you!!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteYou should be out there helping to ambush mice! They are disappointed with you for slacking off during hunting season.
ReplyDeleteTypical cat; comfort hogs when it's convenient.
ReplyDeleteHer eyes tell the whole story!
ReplyDeleteThat's cats for you! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Lisa I got to go with the cats on this one:) It is beautiful outside and winter will be back before you know it:) Hug B
ReplyDeleteMade me smile!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a GREAT Weekend!
You know they will be back when the cold wind blows. Cute kitty.
ReplyDeleteNo kidding! Ask for a little snuggle or maybe a little pet....NOPE. Sheesh. That's the thanks we get for all that food and shelter we provide.
ReplyDeleteYup. There mercenaries using us that's for sure....:)
ReplyDeleteI have a pet door so mine want to share the hunt with me--YUCK!
ReplyDeleteLOL, that's why people say dogs are more loyal.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ….that is so funny. This is how cats are; users!! :)
ReplyDeleteTotal traitors. The sad thing is that when they do an about face in October, you'll totally forgive them and snuggle. :)
ReplyDeletefair weather friends, er, foul weather friends in this case...
ReplyDeleteLOL! Yeah, you'll be the best friend come winter. :)
ReplyDeletexoxo
That look is so funny! I used to get that from our cat- everyone did except for one of my boys.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course you'll be happy to have them back. hahaha
ReplyDeleteCats are awesome! :)
Yes, that look says, "What do you WANT, Mom?" Kitties have their own plans, don't they? But when the cold weather comes, I know you will welcome them back with open arms. :-)
ReplyDeleteChase Bird doesn't go outside, but he loves to go out on our enclosed back porch and do reconnaissance.
Priceless. But, I guess you should be glad he even decided to give you a look! There are birds, and mice, and grass, and flies...it's been a long winter.
ReplyDeleteLol, cute! Catching mice and moles is a good thing though right? That cat's earning his/her keep :)
ReplyDeleteYou have this so right! We put the cats into the cat motel for a week. They were a bit tetchy! The wedding was fun, though!
ReplyDeleteOhh!!!! The tail is saying NO? Beautiful cat.
ReplyDeleteThose independent cats! That's why I have dogs. Except they want to snuggle--under blankets--even when it's 95 degrees. :/
ReplyDeleteGotta love em !
ReplyDeletespring is calling the kitties outside!
ReplyDeletelove
tweedles
HaHa! Cats are so independent aren't they? Except when they need a warm place to sleep!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right. Cats...one day they're your best friend, and the other day, they act as if they don't even know you. I guess you won't see much of them this summer...unless they're hungry that is :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteHappy Memorial Day Weekend, Lisa,
family, loved ones!
I am a cat lady, so I know how they feel, think and act.
Your cat loves you for sure.
Cats have a strong hunting drive,
like all felines do.
Can you imagine living with
a lion or a tiger?...
I love them too.
I respect their behaviours.
I really love felines.
I also love dogs and horses.
I am an animal lover...
Thank you for visiting my sites!
Greetings from Poet Starry.
Cats are odd creatures! lol I'm sure they will come running when it gets cold outside too! They will even try to serenade you with song with their purr! lol
ReplyDeletegorgeous shot-we've three cats that can't live without us, more like little dogs and one that is much like yours, comes and goes at his leisure with many down his nose glances.
ReplyDeleteTruth be told, I don't want to be inside when it's so nice and warm outside!
ReplyDeleteThink of this way - at least you won't be cuddling with any mouse!
ReplyDeleteAww great shot. Out young cats stay indoors, but are always trying to sneak out. Sometimes I feel like a prison warden here--I guess the mice, bugs, birds and other critters are too tempting.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a nice holiday weekend.
Ah yes, but do they bring their "treasures" back to show you?
ReplyDeleteCats certainly aren't as people friendly as dogs. We just had a stray that gave birth to 5 kittens up by our shed. Travis was just about to call a nonprofit to come and get them. It's called Feline Friendz. Then today they were gone. The momma cat must of gotten the message.
