The other day, he told me that his favorite comic was Garfield. This warmed my heart, because my favorite comic as a kid was Garfield too. I used to have a stuffed Garfield. How about you, readers? Do you read the comics? Do you have a favorite?
I love Garfield too:) Hug B
ReplyDeletePierce has great taste...Garfield was one favorite of mine as well!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI don't take the paper anymore, but as a child that was the prize in a Sunday's paper for sure!
ReplyDeleteI was before Garfield but we liked Peanuts which is what they call Charlie Brown most of the time now.
ReplyDeleteSince I work in cubical land I'm a Dilbert fan.
ReplyDeleteLady and the Tramp was my favourite as a kid :-), I still enjoy the comics. Sweet photo.
ReplyDeleteI liked Blondie. I don't know if they still have that though, since it is a long time since I bought a Sunday paper.
ReplyDeleteI've never been a fan, but my husband likes comics, so he'll enjoy reading to and with the kid when the time comes!

ReplyDeleteI use the comics to wrap gifts!
ReplyDeleteI rather enjoy "Pickles".
ReplyDeleteI never really got into them. But Mica does! My Grandpa on my Dad's side did to.
ReplyDeleteGarfield is one of my all time favorites. I still have my stuffed Garfield. And in my second year of college I used a Garfield tote for my books instead of a backpack. lol I like Get Fuzzy now.
ReplyDeleteI really love comics. When I was a little girl I read almost everyday and borrowed some from library almost everyday too.
ReplyDeleteI used to read a lot of them but they seem so much less funny to me now than they used to...anyhow, I still like Beetle Bailey and Hagar the Horible...that's about all I read now
ReplyDeleteI luv Baby Blues best! ( :

No more ---but hubby still loves Dilbert (although that is not really a 'funny' comic, is it????) ha....
ReplyDeleteI do remember sharing the comics with my kids when they were little. AND--as a little girl (many moons ago), I loved reading Comic Books...
I published a cute blog today from our vacation in Cataloochee this past week. Check it out if you haven't yet.
Hugs,
Betsy
I don't read them much, they used to be a treat.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful picture! And oh those long eyelashes and wonderful smile! That is so sweet that he loves Garfield, and NOT something violent. I liked all the Archie ones. Back then they were ten cents, and the thick seasonal ones were not much more. I would walk up the block to the corner drug store and loved waiting for the new ones!
ReplyDeleteI loved Opus.
ReplyDeleteI used to love Peanuts. We also liked to take silly putty and transfer the cartoons onto that. I haven't seen a newspaper in years. Sad.
ReplyDeleteBela criança...Espectacular....
ReplyDeleteCumprimentos

ReplyDeleteI have a brother who as always enjoyed Comics on Sundays. I do read The Family Circus!
ReplyDeleteGraphic novels are big now for kids. They are books that are written in comics style. Many for young readers like your guys.
