I've had a lot of requests for video of Cort's dancing. Recently he had his winter showcase. He did six dances that day - ballet, a hip hop duet with his instructor, and a hip hop routine with his hip hop class.....all times two for two separate performances that day. I think he was pretty tired by the end of the night, but he was a trooper. The video below is from his fifth dance of the day.
It always surprises me to see him breakdancing. We don't have a television, so I'm never quite sure where he comes up with his moves, especially at the age of 5. Plus, they haven't done any breakdancing techniques in his hip hop class this fall - they focused on moves like krumping, the robot, stepping, and bone breaking.
Regardless of where he learned it, I can say one thing for sure. He didn't get his dancing talent from me!

I really enjoyed seeing him dance, and at such a young age...it is evidently built into him. I have two left feet, so not dancing for me. Happy 2015
He's a fast learner. I have taken a few lessons, my last class was square dance. I was a slow learner.

Oh my gosh! That is GREAT! How fun for a little guy to learn dance other than tap and ballet that was offered when my kids were little.
There is a lot going on here--so much more than learning dance. I love the interaction with Cort and his teacher too.

I love his dance. He is doing great.
My baby granddaughter is taking dance lessons, tap dance and hip hop.
Well, when I was a little child, my dear mom took me to dance classes. I did Classical Dance and American Tap.
I've got an artistic heart, so my daughter and grandchildren might have taken some of my artistic genes.
But, I am not sure until they grow up.

I LOVE it! Finally, a New Years surprise! He is so good, and so little to be so good! The big guy is very graceful, and he is also good, but I wish he would have been more low key and held back a bit so Cort could shine more.

Cort is adorable! He showed some great footwork--and he's just 5. I liked the interaction between him and his instructor too. The instructor has some great things yet to teach. I agree with Georgy (Maggid)--this will be so good for his confidence and self-esteem! No mysterious talents here--unless I just haven't discovered them yet. lol

He did a great job. My kids like acting classes. We having done dance though. With them both in martial arts we don't have time for much else. They did acting in the summer.
He did such a great job and nice to see him working with his instructor. Think of the great confidence level he is building by being up on that stage!
