When we were up on the huge battleship in North Carolina back in June, we could see all these little white dots moving around in the mud (we also saw an alligator down there!). If you look at them here, they kind of look like little white stones.
I couldn't figure out what the little white dots were. So I used my camera to zoom on in.
What I was seeing in white were the claws of these little crabs. The brown blended in with the mud from a distance.
Who says cameras are just for taking pictures?

I use mine to inspect things all the time
You must have a good camera, or a good camera on your phone. Nice zooming! I'm a cheap-skate and use "dumb-phones" that don't have very good cameras.
One can learn many things from taking pictures! Have a great Labor Day weekend.
Who knew? But, then you found out. Good going, Lisa. :)

neat and prehistoric looking! :)
I never realized alligators could be found in North Carolina . . . of course, the many times i visited that gorgeous state, the terrain did not look like this picture . . .
Doesn't it sound like the beginning of a good story - when moving stones become crabs????
Cool Stuff
I've used my camera as a telescope more than once!
Wow! Pretty cool!
A super dooper camera to zoooom that in!! Those claws look powerful!

very cool. trying 2 recall the rules of the waters? i always think it is wild 2 hear folks swim with knowing they could b n the very same waters. would make very nervous! ( ;
Indeed. I took a picture of a bunch gulls once & a closer look on my computer revealed a royal tern mixed in .... a "lifer" for me.
Good eye! Now ya know! LOL
Best regards and wish you a wonderful new week.
I'll bet those things eat up all the dead fish and such in there. Crabs keep waterways pretty clean.
My sons would be fascinated!
Oh how cool! I guess I wouldn't want to walk in that swamp/mud anytime soon! I wonder if the alligators like to eat those crabs?!
I miss my Canon camera, which was stolen. Nice shots!
That's cool! I use mine for that all the time, too!
I haven't used my camera as a telescope yet. Got to try that out.
