Parents in the Early Twentieth Century Were So Lazy

At my house the boys have to earn electronics privileges on a day to day basis, by doing educational worksheets.  They aren't obligated to do them, but if they want some time on the ipad or computer, they will.  Recently Pierce decided to do a historical reading I had put out for him about factory workers.  It talked about how during the Industrial revolution women could work factories, but it didn't pay well.  The article said that some women decided to work anyhow, because it gave them independence, a chance to send money back to the farm, and the opportunity to save money to take into a future marriage.

Pierce's take?

So yeah.  We had to have a big redo on THAT question!

What a fun activity, reading recognition is a valuable tool. Many students perform low with this.

LOL, well it was a rather inspired answer. Did rate a do-over however.

Perhaps Pierce also discovered that, during the Industrial Revolution, the workers were revolting.

However, I amy be wrong about that. Bears make lots of misteaks when it comes to things Human.

Blessings and Bear hugs to al of you!

Clearly he has figured out the children were oppressed and is telling us about the bad old days of the Parentocracy when children were owned like cattle.

We will now be required to give children special affirmative action privileges and no fault parent children divorce protection. Their own department of Child health and support laws.

I think he is on to something.

Well, the thing is Pierce, some parents ARE lazy. You're right about that! As always, Lisa, you're doing an awesome job with those little boys.

Those lazy parents! LOL Well he gave you what he thought was the answer.

Good for you, for making them work for it.

My boys have to get their homework done before playing. They only get to play on the DS once a week, well maybe on the weekends to.
