The last day of school before the Christmas break, something terrible happened. Poor, innocent Pierce was eating his lunch at school when his glasses just up and jumped right off his face! They commenced the fall of death and crumbled to pieces. Can you believe it? Glasses are real trouble makers. Always out to get you. And just when you least expect it, too. Pierce had these glasses for over a year and they'd never done anything like this before.
After much complaining over his backup glasses (which are red), a new pair finally arrived. The inexpensive company we order from in Canada no longer carried a Harry Potter style for kids, so I had to pick something different. Somehow I think these suit him.
Hopefully these glasses will be better behaved than the last pair.

Too funny. Yes, you have to keep an out for them glasses. They can be real tricky! I know my own pair of glasses just recently jumped off our bathroom vanity. I'm lucky they are still in tact!
My glasses have been known to do (something) like that as well... darn troublemakers! Pierce does look pretty spiffy in his new ones.
I used to get my name on the temples, so if lost they could be returned. I had a pair found under a apple tree, I must have accidentally climbed with glasses in my pocket.mmmmm still like green apples.
I'm not sure what material might be Pierce Proof, NASA might have something.
Having a red backup pair is a good incentive not to break the good ones though.
They look great. I recall smooshifying quite a few pairs of glasses as a kid. I used to high jump in HS. Once I took my glasses off and set them next to the pit so I would not break them. I high jumped, missed the pit, landed on my glasses, broke my glasses and they gave me a nice cut. I got contacts after that...as soon as they were invented.
My active granddaughters have a terrible time with their glasses! These are cute!
he looks adorable in his new glasses!
Yay for new glasses! Sometimes they have a mind of their own, eh?
Oh--those darned ole' MEAN GLASSES.... Poor Pierce.... Next time, be sure and get some GLUE so that they will stay on his head.... ha ha ha
Hugs,
Betsy
Love his new look! Yes, we know how glasses just jump right off. That's happened more than once with Rylan - that mean old glasses snatcher. :)

Yep those darn glasses you just never know when they're going to act up! This pair looks real good on him too!
What a cutie pie!
You never know what those silly glasses will do while at school!!! I need to order sunglasses...who do you use?...:)JP
He looks so handsome! I recall, as a child, my glasses doing the very same thing :)

Our insurance pays for one pair of glasses for us all, sort of, per year. They pay enough that if you are ok with normal lenses and normal frames, you only wind up paying about $20.00 for the eye exam and the glasses. But if you let them hustle you with all the lens coatings and expensive frames, you are doomed. We sometimes forget to get our glasses but while the kids were home we made herculean efforts and got it done. That way we wear the new ones and keep the old ones so that if something like what happened to your son ( I believe his version! D*mn those evil glasses!) occurs, we aren't stumbling around blind.
My Glasses, jump off my face too. They even disappear, and then turn up hiding.
:)
Too CUTE.
My son has amazing glasses that do tricks too. His new pair came in one week after the initial pair. Yeah, he had them one week, lol. Your boy looks great!!
Glasses.. and retainers!!! Just wait till /and IF.. he gets braces!... then he can blame the dang dog, who always steals and EATS the retainers.
Actually, true story :-)
He looks very handsome in those glasses. Hope they behave!
Aw, it happens. Kids break their glasses and lose retainers--no matter how expensive they are.
I like his new glasses--he looks very grown up!
He looks great in them. I'm so surprised I don't need glasses yet. Just about everyone in my family has them, and I'm on the computer all the time.
Tee hee, those glasses are rambunctious! He looks very cute in his new ones. I first had to get glasses when I was 9. They were gold wire frame granny frames a la John Denver. I was forever taking them off and putting them on my bed, then sitting on them. Or putting them in my pocket while playing and bending them.
Mattie sure wishes this happened to her glasses
